Industrial cooling and ventilation in Jeddah
Jeddah is the trading gate of the Kingdom and its industry follows the port. The three Jeddah Industrial Cities around Al Khumrah carry food and beverage plants, plastics converters, paint and detergent works, cable and steel product lines and a large amount of contract packing, while the sheds ringing Jeddah Islamic Port handle the distribution that feeds the western region and the pilgrim season. Bahra and Asfan take heavier and dustier trades on the road out of town, and King Abdullah Economic City at Rabigh adds newer plants an hour north. The wet coastal summer here means air movement, extraction and destratification give a better return than any attempt to drop the temperature by evaporation alone.
Jeddah climate — the honest version
Jeddah is Red Sea coastal, holding 40–43 °C with humidity between 60 and 80 percent through August and September, so evaporative cooling gives only a modest drop in those months and high volume air movement does the real work.
Cargo arrives at Jeddah Islamic Port in about 8 to 12 days from Nhava Sheva or Mundra, with the industrial cities only 15 to 25 km from the terminal gates.

- The Kingdom operates at 60 Hz while the neighbouring Gulf states are on 50 Hz, so state 400 V three phase 60 Hz at enquiry stage and the motor selection is matched to it.
- SABER registration and a shipment certificate of conformity are required before release at Jeddah Islamic Port, and clearance is noticeably slower in the weeks around Hajj, so build extra time into any summer delivery.
- Salt laden air on the Red Sea coast attacks thin sheet metal. Specify the galvanised and powder coated housing option and mount extract fans where washdown is possible.

Through the humid months it will not do much for temperature. At 40 °C and 70 percent humidity an evaporative unit may drop supply air only three or four degrees. In Jeddah the honest recommendation is HVLS fans for perceived cooling of five to seven degrees, exhaust fans to clear the roof heat, and evaporative units limited to the drier winter half.
Can a single shipment cover a large Jeddah distribution centre?
Usually yes. A 40 ft high cube takes a substantial number of HVLS units once the blades ship flat packed, and a typical 10,000 sq m distribution centre needs eight to twelve fans of 20 to 24 ft. Ayzair prepares the layout and loading plan together so the whole building is covered by one consignment.
What supply voltage and frequency do the units run on in Saudi Arabia?
Standard Saudi distribution is 220 V single phase and 400 V three phase at 60 Hz. Ayzair fans and coolers are supplied wound for that frequency when the destination is confirmed at order. Running a 50 Hz motor on the Saudi grid raises speed by a fifth and overloads the motor, so the frequency must be stated in the purchase order.
